Your team works in its language, your customer reads in theirs
The language of the interface is a personal setting; the language of a document is a matter for the customer. You set the two separately — your people on site work in their language, and the customer reads the quote in theirs.

How it looks
Everyone chooses their own interface
Each person sets the language of the application in their profile, and their colleagues can choose a different one. Without a choice of their own, it follows your business's location.
In detail — Everyone chooses their own interface
That applies in the browser just as in the Zirko App — anyone on site who would rather read Polish or Romanian does so, without anything changing in the office.
What else it takes off your hands
The document speaks the customer's language
Your business details hold the “Language of the documents” as the default. If a customer has a language of their own, theirs applies, and on the single document it can be switched once more.
In detail — The document speaks the customer's language
Quote and invoice carry their labels in that language, from the document header to preset units such as “pcs”.
Fixed when you issue
The dialog you issue a document from shows the “Language of the document” once more, next to number, recipient and amount, and issuing fixes it.
In detail — Fixed when you issue
So an issued invoice no longer changes its language when you later change something on the customer.
Zirko does not translate your texts
What you write yourself — line item texts, opening text, closing text — stays in the language you wrote it in. Zirko translates nothing by itself and sends no text to a translation service. It labels the fixed parts of the document; the content is yours to decide.
Tax, trades and guides — Malta
This page exists in its own version for every country. Tax rates and trade names come from the same tables the app works with.
Tax on the invoice
An invoice here carries VAT, at a standard rate of 18%. Zirko ships with the country's rates — you don't enter any yourself.
- Net
- €10,000.00
- VAT 18%
- €1,800.00
- Gross
- €11,800.00
For Malta we are not aware of any general obligation to issue electronic invoices.

Frequently asked questions
Can I write an invoice in a different language?
Yes. Switch the language on the customer or on the single document; the document header, labels and preset units are then in that language. Zirko does not translate your own line item texts — write those in the language the customer is to read them in.
Can employees use the application in their own language?
Yes. The language is a personal setting in the profile; each person chooses their own, in the browser and in the app. Without a choice of their own, it follows the business's location.
Which language does a document have if I set nothing?
The language of the documents from your business details. If the customer has a language of their own, theirs applies; on the single document it can also be switched.
Does the language of an issued invoice change if I change the customer?
No. Issuing fixes the language of the document, like everything else on the issued document.
Does Zirko translate my texts?
No. Zirko labels the fixed parts of the document in the chosen language; what you write yourself stays as you wrote it. No text goes to a translation service.
