The app for the job site, built for one hand
For the job site Zirko is getting an app of its own for iPhone and Android. It is coming to the App Store and to Google Play — with the same data as in the office and with what is needed out there.

What comes with it
For one hand and a glove
At the bottom the points for assignments, projects and hours, at the top left the gear. All of it where the thumb already rests, and the tap targets larger than the usual 44 pixels, because on a site there is a glove in between.
No prices on the site phone
On the phone a project’s line items come from a reading view that carries no amounts at all. The fitter sees only assigned projects and only released folders — decided in the database, not in the interface.
Carrying on offline is not the same as starting offline
As long as the app is open, hours and chat messages can be created where there is no signal; they sit on the device and go out once there is a signal again. Start the app again with no reception and you get a notice instead of the interface — no copy of the interface is kept on the device. That is written here because otherwise it catches you out the first time on site.
