Keep working in the basement without losing a thing

The Zirko App saves every time entry and every chat message on your phone first and transfers them afterwards — even with a perfect signal. In a dead spot they simply wait longer, and every row shows you how far it has got.

How it looks

On the device first, then on its way

A time entry appears in the list as soon as your device has stored it — usually a moment after saving.

In detail — On the device first, then on its way

From then on you cannot lose it, even if you close the app; if the device cannot store it, the app tells you in the same place. Without reception a banner below the header shows the time of the last update, so you know how old what you are reading is.

What else it takes off your hands

Every row says where it stands

Saved on this device only, transferring, transferred or not transferred: the label sits on every entry, always in words and never by colour alone.

In detail — Every row says where it stands

When the signal returns, Zirko transfers by itself; if you don't want to wait, press “Transfer now”. Nothing arrives twice, because two transfers of the same entry make one.

No signal is not a failed attempt

An entry waits for as long as the dead spot lasts. If the transfer fails for another reason, Zirko tries at most five times — and not at all after an error that no second attempt would fix.

The entry then shows “Not transferred” with “Try again” and “Discard” — you decide, not a silent process in the background.

What does not work in a dead spot

Without a signal you cannot create a project, upload files or save a report: a half-finished report does not wait in the queue — secure it with “Save draft” before you go down into the basement. And if you close the app completely with no reception and open it again, you see a notice instead of the interface; the queue stays intact.

Tax, trades and guides — United Kingdom

This page exists in its own version for every country. Tax rates and trade names come from the same tables the app works with.

Tax on the invoice

An invoice here carries VAT, at a standard rate of 20%. Zirko ships with the country's rates — you don't enter any yourself.

Zirko also carries: 5%.

Worked example
Net
£10,000.00
VAT 20%
£2,000.00
Gross
£12,000.00

In the United Kingdom, ordinary businesses will have to issue electronic invoices from 01/04/2029.

What the trades are called here

Frequently asked questions

  • Does the Zirko App work without a signal?

Partly — and this is exactly what works. Hours and chat messages — photos included — are created without a signal and go out as soon as there is reception again; you can read whatever was last loaded. Creating projects, uploading files and saving reports need a signal.

  • Are hours recorded offline lost if I close the app?

No, not once your device has stored them. If it could not store an entry permanently, the entry still appears in the list, with a warning above the list — then keep the app open until the entry is transferred.

  • How can I tell whether an entry has been transferred?

By the label on every row: Saved on this device only, Transferring, Transferred or Not transferred. Without reception there is also a banner below the header with the time of the last update.

  • Can an entry arrive twice?

No. Every entry carries an identifier, and two transfers with the same identifier make one entry — even if the connection drops in the middle of the transfer.

  • What happens to a report in a dead spot?

It does not wait in the queue. If you leave a half-finished report without reception and then close the app, the report is gone — use “Save draft” while you have a signal. Line items from the project document you can take into an open report even without a signal.
