Is your incoming invoice correct?

Drop an e-invoice in here. Zirko makes it readable, identifies the format and checks it against the official rule set. And for a ZUGFeRD or Factur-X invoice, Zirko answers the question nobody else asks: does the PDF you see say the same thing as the data record that legally counts?

  • Your file is not stored. It is processed and discarded at once — not in a database, not in a storage bucket, not in a log.
  • Everything on this page is free and needs no account: reading the invoice, identifying the format, the comparison between PDF and data record — and every single finding, explained. You only need a Zirko account once it is not meant to stop at this one invoice.
  • This is a technical check against an official rule set. It replaces neither tax advice nor legal advice.

Your answer for New Zealand

Do I have to?

If you supply public bodies: yes, only from $33,000,000 annual turnover. In New Zealand, public authorities have required an electronic invoice from their suppliers since 01/01/2027. For invoices to other businesses we know of no start date there.

From when?

For public-sector contracts since 01/01/2027. No start date has been published for invoices to other businesses.

Can Zirko do it?

Yes. New Zealand has its own national format, PINT A-NZ, and Zirko produces it — additionally embedded in a PDF/A-3, so your customer gets a readable sheet and the machine-readable file in one file. You can receive at your own address for incoming invoices, which is not included in every plan — the pricing page names them; otherwise outside Zirko, for example in your own email inbox.

What becomes mandatory in your country, and when

What this tool does

Four things, and all four without an account.

Make it readable

Sender, recipient, number, date, every line item, tax rates, totals, due date and payment details — out of the XML file or out of the PDF it sits in.

Identify the format

Hardly anyone knows which format they have been sent. Zirko reads it out of the file itself — an Italian FatturaPA or a Polish FA(3) included.

Check against the rule set

Every finding on its own: what the official rule set objects to, in which field, and what that means in plain words. In full and without an account — not just the number.

PDF against data record

For ZUGFeRD and Factur-X, Zirko compares 7 details between the visible PDF and the data record behind it. Where they diverge, it says so here — and which version is binding.

22 formats, no country picker

You do not need to know what you have been sent — that is exactly the problem. Zirko identifies every one of these formats by itself.

What happens to your file

Nothing is stored. The file is processed, the result is shown, and after that it is gone. There is no storage location, no database row and no log entry holding anything from your invoice — no names, no amounts, no bank details.

Your file is read, checked and discarded exclusively in Frankfurt am Main; it is not passed on to any other provider. The transport route there runs through our host's network — if you access the tool from outside the EU, it passes through a node near you.

This is a technical check against an official rule set. It replaces neither tax advice nor legal advice.

And what else does Zirko do?

Zirko is software for trade businesses: quotes, invoices, hours, projects. It writes and reads e-invoices too — this tool is one piece of it that you may use without an account.
